Essaouira and the Surrounding

  Diabet

If you walk southwards on the beach, you come to Diabet. Your will find the ruins of an old palace and what is left of an old bridge. Until a few years this was the main road to Agadir, but the river washed it away during the rain time.

  Moulay Bouzerktoun

Moulay Bouzerktoun is famous for windsurfing. There are high waves and most of the time a strong wind is blowing.

Besides this, the village is of little interest. A few cafes offer drinks, but you cannot buy a cold coke, as there is no electricity.

 Sidi Kaouki

This beautiful, quiet beach is located 12km south of Essaouira, direction of Agadir, on the right. The road ends in a holy place.

Sidi Kaouki is known as the best windsurfing spot in Morocco, but as the waves can be very high, you should have experience.

Along the beach there are a lot of Argania trees and many tourists use this beautiful area as a campground.

There are also some small hostels and hotels.

Safi, more information you find here.

Safi is well known for its pottery. You can visit a lot of craft shops or even watch how it is produced.
